Dr Clara Boglione

University of Rome Tor Vergata, Lesa

Clara’s research focuses on Ecomorphology of Teleosts. Her research approach is based on the integration between the typical descriptive morphological approach (carried out by anatomical, histological, electron microscope and shape analyses) integrated with the typical statistic ecological approaches. In this framework, morphology is used as a tool of ecological interpretation of functional adaptations to specific environmental drivers. CB has carried out researches on the presence/types of morphological anomalies in Mugilidae, Clupeidae, Moronidae, Sparidae, Carangidae, Atherinidae, and Cyprinidae.

Currently Senior Researcher and Adjunct Professor in Applied Ecology at the Department of Biology of the University of Rome Tor Vergata.  Clara is member of the Scientific Committee of the Doctorate in "Evolutionary Biology and Ecology" [DOT0327829] at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and deputy member of the Examination Board of the Doctorate School in "Biology and Ecology" at the University of Perugia, Italy.

Clara Boglione is supervisor of ESR4 and ESR5.  ESR4 will focus on the description of morphological, histological and biomolecular descriptors/markers of anomalous skeletogenesis.  ESR5 will study how the behavioral dynamics modulate skeletal anomaly’s onset and repair.
