In the frame of BioMedaqu Project, the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the Politecnica delle Marche and the Italian Association of Aquaculturists organize a training course on the most adequate procedures for monitoring fish skeletal anomalies.
Topics to be covered include:
- Differences in skeletal tissues among basal and derived teleosts and mammalians
- Sampling methodologies, staining protocols and procedures
- Survey, data input
- Data analyses
The course will comprise 11 lectures and 3 practical (laboratory, computer) lessons.
Target group
The course is directed at PhD students, researchers or professionals from the industry interested in skeletal anomalies in reared and model fish.
Practical information
• The course fee for BiomedAqu ESRs is 350€, for other PhD candidates €450 and for participants from the industry €685. The price includes tuition, course materials, coffee/tea, lunches, drinks and a social dinner on Wednesday 25th September.
